i think the new lineup sucks !!

the only 4 stations i listened on my xm skyfi were ethel 47 , lucy 54 , fred 44 & sometimes squizz and they are all gone , what a joke i wonder if xm will charge me the family price of 6.95 for my 2 xm radio's as i have sirius in my truck @ 12.95 and all i listen to on sirius is alt nation , 1st wave and octane ???

loving shade 45 here
but we need a hip-hop and R&B station like xm 67 the city/hotjamz

as long as i can get howard and O&A on one radio im happy :)

ODD that BOTH The Rhyme AND Backspin were Canned.

No more 24 hour Old Skool Hip Hop Station on Either service

No More Urban (Censored Hip Hop/R&B) Stations on Either. not suitible for Under 18.

Only Censored HipHop Is XM's Heat which is a Rhythmic that Moved over to Sirius

The Heat Does though Sound Less Rhythmic than it did, Like they made it lean Urban to compensate for the loss of the City.

Just Like the City was slightly Rhythmic Before the Heat Launched.

HEART AND SOUL SUCKS DONKEY DINK!! (compared to SUITE 62)

I bet they lose alot of customers!!

Sirius is crap which is why i have XM! (Well DTV has it)

Only 1 good thing on Sirius: HOWARD STERN

Let's give it a little time folks. On the stations I listen to, it appears the playlist is a little bigger, and that is a good thing. I need to listen more to be sure.

Well I didn't think I would say it, BUT I like the new lineup of music channels. Sorry some of you lost your favorites but we knew some would become outraged.

i listened to ethel nation all day & it did sound better than it used to although it needs dj's , i heard kane (he is great) where is a.d & madison:(

I have been an XM listener for over a year, and not only enjoyed their programing, but thought their sound quality was excellent. Now that they did the lineup change yesterday I noticed that my favorite channel # 46, which used to be Top Tracks, but is now Classic Vinyl, sounds muffled, dull, no clarity to the sound at all. Its like someone put a blanket over my speakers. Where as before XM had a warm, rich, full sound to it.
I emailed the XM web site yesterday and voiced my concern, but I doubt it will do much good.
I also called XM tech too. They seemed to overwhelmed with the days events, the rep didn't really understand what i was talking about, and didn't know what to say or who he should report this too.
But as Neil Young say.."Sound does matter".
Anyone else notice this change in sound quality too?

Bring back XM Comedy Uncensored 150.

I want to hear standup, not some donkey kong call-in show that is not even funny.

I have only had XM for about a year (Mrs. rallen13 gave it to me for Christmas, best present she has ever given me) and have loved every minute of it. I have never heard Sirius, so I have nothing to compare. Thus, based on my age (shhhhh!), I have to say that the changes have not disappointed me except for Spa replacing Audio Visions. It doesn't seem quite the same, but it still isn't what I would call bad. I listen to 40's, 50's, 60's, Love Songs, Sinatra Standards, Spa, Old Time Radio, Escape, Laugh USA, and Classical Pops, plus CNN and all the Play-By-Play from NHL, NFL, MLB, MNACAR, Indy and even PGA on occasion. I have found no less quality of programming or sound on any of these. Not to say that others with different receivers don't. I am quite satisfied, especially considering what ISN'T on the air in Houston worth listening to.

My observations:

The good: I don't need four radios anymore, which means I don't have to pay as much for the service (probably not quite the synergy Uncle Mel was hoping for).

The bad: I'm flipping channels more than than I used to on either service.

Oh come on. Not a whole lot has changed besides some additional (and for the most part better) channels, new names and maybe a little tweaking. I love the Sinatra channel and I like the fact that The Message now has jocks. Blue Collar Radio is awesome too. Plus, to me, the sound quality does sound better now. Overall I like the changes.

Yes i notice that also,ALL SIRIUS STREAMS COMING OVER XM HAVE LOW AUDIO.. (Most of them (And it makes them sound worse than they already are))

Funny that you think it sucks, on another site someone thinks that Heart & Soul sucks now because it sounds like XM's Suite 62!!! :D I actually checked and the station is now programmed by the same people who did Suite 62- and they said there hasnt been any changes!! LOL It seems like one could make no changes in a station/channel and tell someone that they did , and people would sound off that they loved the changes or hated them!!! PLACIBO?????? ;D

As a longtime listener I'm very upset about the programming changes. I loved the playlist on XM48 the way it was before. Deeper and better thought out. I'm tired of hearing jocks every 2-3 songs that have nothing interesting to say on 48. It wasn't like that with 48 before. That's exactly why I never subscribed to Sirius in the first place. I had it on Dish Network and thought it was garbage. If I wanted radio like that I'd listen to FM radio. Ethel should have remained as well. I know since the merger they were forced to make some changes, but XM reigns supreme in every way compared to Sirius musically, and always has, until now. If anything the Sirius music channels should have been dumped. I don't think I'll renew my 7 year subscription in January. Do we really need to waste bandwith(sound quality) on channels for AC/DC and Zeppelin. Both bands are overplayed on every classic rock station on this big round ball of dirt. Liquid Metal needs to go back to the way it was as well. They are too soft now and play some 80's hair bands. The boneyard name sounded much better than hair nation. The playlists on both 42 and 48 are too predictable and abreviated compared to what they once were. More thought should have been put into these changes, such as polling listeners for input. This just goes to show that listeners opinions don't really matter at all. That's a shame because I used to put XM on a pedastal and brag about it to others. Now I'm ashamed of what they have become since the changes.

When Verizon brought FiOS to my neighborhood I dumped DirecTV and signed up. Your 4 stations were my big 4 (excellent music) and I thought about getting XM for my car as FiOS has Music Choice (though their Alternative and Retro aren't that bad). Boy, am I glad I dodged that bullet. My sympathies. :'(

The only channel that I listened to frequently that was lost was Chrome. They also changed the times of the American Top 40 repeats on 7 and 8. Aside from that, I have noticed few differences. I do like being able to hear some of the Sirius channels we did not get before. Overall I'd give this a thumbs up.
