I read the same article. I never heard of a copyrighted idea. Can't see anyone paying TMO for advice. I guess they are having trouble paying the bills.

Another case (common these days) of overcopyrighting the uncopyrightable.

Having a single advertiser exclusively sponsor a block of programming not only isn't new, it's VERY old. In fact, it's the way much of commercial radio started. E.g. John Cameron Swayze on the Camel News Caravan.

It's actually IMO not a bad idea. (The lack of DJs and the music choices, now that may be another matter, but I see no harm in the sponsorship proposal.)
