I used to work for KVLL Woodville, TX.

I realize it was over 45 years ago only the music format was Country. The station itself actually started in Livingston Texas back in the late '60s early '70s before it moved to Woodville from Lake Livingston and the call letters VLL stood for "Voice of Lake Livingston".
Despite my decision to move on in life outside of broadcasting I still kept up with the station through all its changes of ownership and its eventual move from Woodville to Wells, TX. Station management should have kept the format as Country. Country folks in Woodville told me "I'll listen to country music and nothing else" and because station management decided to go to a format they like to listen to because they probably grew up with it, they didn't think of the country folks up there in East Texas, the station's listening audience, who simply ignored the station for they have very little interest in Classic Rock. And when you abandon your listening audience the station itself found no revenue coming in and the bills mounted up.
