I want my MTV - I mean Alice In Chains

So I was born and raised out of market (Boston), and maybe my opinion is less indicative than that off a native Brooklynite, but I was in an abject cringing mood tonight, and I wanted to listen to some Alice In Chains. of course I lost all my AIC Cd's years ago, and I as reduced to searching myspace for bootleg alice in chains streams. I turned on Down and Hole, followed by I stay Away then Got Me Wrong. And my girlfriend was like "I forgot how much I liked this music, cause they defintely played it way too much (on WLZX in Northampton for her). I felt the same way. Why does 104.7 ignore the Seatle bands of 15-20 years ago. Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarded, and their variants are all nearly two decades off their peaks, and safely 15 years off their peaks. its classic rock, and the demad exists for this music, if played sparingly. Furthermore, I think alot of the seatle stuff would fit rather nicely with the hard 70 feel a WAXQ puts out now.
