I want to run The Legacy on a Laptop!!

I have a problem. My stepson's kids have been messing around with my Radio Station at times because I have a desktop. What I want to do is buy a new copy of SAM Broadcaster 2013 so that it will run on Windows 8 and run it on a laptop with a 750GB HDD or better.

Well I've looked at a few good Refurbished Laptops that have 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD for a little over $400. So 400 for the Laptop + 300 for SAM and $100 for Stereo Tool since SAM Broadcaster's AGC just plain sucks horribly. I Love Stereo Tool.

Do you think the station will Run?

I've been backing all of my music with Google Play music so I'm ready as soon as I get enough money since I'm on disability I have to get more listeners on RadioLoyalty. I know I can't run a Pro sound card, but I don't already just use Stereo Tool all day long to clean things up.

That machine should be fine for SAM .. Stereo tool though is a resource hog..

If you plan to source from the laptop 24/7, heat is probably going to be your biggest enemy. I'd think about setting the laptop on 4 plastic checkerboard pieces or something to get it up off the desk to allow airflow *under* it as well as around it.
