I want to throw up.....

Kenny:

If you REALLY want to throw up, just try listening to some of the "programming" on 1320 WARL.....THAT'll really send you running to the porcelain bowl. ;D

Kenny, before you lose your lunch while I think hiring Buddy was a good idea I'm not sure he would be a draw in syndication. He's a local phenom who has gotten national attention but regardless of how good a job he'll do I don't think the interest in listening to him is there outside of this market. He's also writing a book, but you can buy overstocks by Hannity & Rush at discount prices at Building 19 so there you go.

By the way, no one has brought up Buddy's starting date 9/20 on a Thursday. That's the date the fall book starts & it's that first week he's most apt to grab listeners tuning in out of curiosity who won't be there for the long run. Hopefully enough of them will have diaries.

Run...him starting the first day of the fall book was a given. I'm just surprised they announced so soon

They may have announced soon but they're still leaving out an important part which is "what slot?"

Mayor Cicilline let it slip when he mentioned something about afternoons. So if he wasn't just making an assumption, than I'm going to guess that Rush will be replaced. But on the other hand that seems kind of hard for me to believe. I don't think they would just let the show go since that would work to HJJ's advantage. WPRO would be silly to give HJJ an advantage like that. Hopefully they learned by their mistake of letting Michael Savage go. We all see how well that worked out. It worked out so well that PRO couldn't wait to get him back!

Would they let Yorke go? He seems to have good ratings and it probably would be a mistake. But it would be easier on PRO's wallet if they didn't have to pay TWO high salaries in the afternoon and only had to pay one instead. However it is odd to think that the midday guy will get paid more than the guy in Afternoon Drive! That wouldn't really make sense.

So I'm kind of split down the middle. I think there is a 50/50 chance of Cianci taking either shift.
