Maybe I'm far more liberal after years of living outside the Lehigh Valley, but I personally don't see a problem with that. The audience for that program (in this case, a sporting event) is predominately male and adult (as I can't imagine a huge chung of the younger end of the audience is listening to a sporting event on AM radio in 2006). The bookstore is targeting adult males. If they wanna advertise their product on the radio and they've got the cash, why shouldn't they be allowed? I'd pretty much guarantee without even listening that you heard ads for beer, auto parts, and home repair superstores, and they bought time during the game for the same reason.
It's not like they're describing in illicit detail what you can do with the products they sell. Now if you had told me you heard the ad on Radio Disney, then I'd see a problem. Just my 2 cents.
