I wish Sunny 99.1 would sound like this

No Offense, but I have found 2 radio stations in Florida that plays beautiful, easy-listening music; WDUV(Tampa) & WFEZ(Miami), and this happens to be an actual playlist:

Herb Alpert - This Guy's In Love With You
98 Degrees - I Do (Cherish You)
The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice?
Peaches & Herb - Reunited
The Byrds - Mr. Tambourine Man
The Three Degrees - When Will I See You Again?
David Gates - Goodbye Girl
The Temptations - My Girl
Loggins & Messina - Danny's Song
Simon & Garfunkel - Mrs. Robinson
Elton John - Your Song
Neil Diamond - Song Sung Blue
Genesis - In Too Deep
Chicago - Colour My World
Don McLean - Vincent(Starry, Starry, Night)
The Eagles - Peaceful, Easy Feeling
Ambrosia - Biggest Part Of Me
Johnny Rivers - The Tracks Of My Tears
Dan Fogelberg - Longer
Dennis Yost & The Classics Iv - Stormy
Barry Manilow - This One's For You
The Commodores - Three Times A Lady
America - I Need You
Elvis Presley - In The Ghetto
Carole King - So Far Away
The Mamas & The Papas - Monday Monday
Neil Young - Old Man
B.J. Thomas - I Just Can't Help Believing
The Cars - Drive
Nilsson - Without You
Elton John - Rocket Man
The Carpenters - It's Going To Take Some Time
The Motels - Only The Lonely
Stevie Wonder - My Cherie Amour
Bread - The Guitar Man
The Beatles - I'll Follow The Sun
Judy Collins - Send In The Clowns
The Bee Gees - How Deep Is Your Love
Gordon Lightfoot - Sundown
Cat Stevens - Morning Has Broken
Spanky & Our Gang - Lazy Day
Harry Chapin - Cat's In The Cradle
Otis Redding - (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay
Kenny Rogers - You Decorated My Life
Kenny Nolan - I Like Dreamin'
The Police - Every Breath You Take
Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly With His Song
Barry Manilow - Looks Like We Made It
Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine - Words Get In The Way
The Beach Boys - Surfer Girl
Seals & Crofts - We May Never Pass This Way (Again)

Do you think it will work here?

Maybe KODA's signal covers more area? It sure would cover more than KILT-AM, but what about the FM?

The FM coverage is the same. Both broadcast from the Missouri City. KILT-610 heads down the Texas Gulf coast to Corpus. Combine the two KILTs and that coverage is better than KODA.

They not only broadcast from the same tower farm, they broadcast from the same antenna. They're combined, along with KKBQ, KTBZ, KKHH, KHMX, KBXX, KLOL and KRBE.

Lose 98 Degrees and it would be a great format. I don't see why this wouldn't work here. The station that comes closest to this format is KSHN but it's hard to pick that up sometimes. We need a good classic MOR here, something like KONO in San Antonio.
