I Wish We Had This In Boston

Rodney Ho, who posts over in the Atlanta forum, does a VERY thorough breakdown of that market when the Arbitron ratings arrive.

http://blogs.ajc.com/radio-tv-talk/...ly-times-for-wsb-am-in-june-arbitron-ratings/

What we get in Boston is the typical "highly coveted Men 25-54" story.

Bleh!

How about the CHR monster that dominates most, or the CHR/R station that is obviously strong or the Alternative station that has dropped below a one share? How about the HOT AC station w/an afternoon show that has done well month after month? Rodney talks about the long term and short term trends while adding a few thoughts about possible changes. I never worked in the Atlanta market but I always find myself interested just because of all of the information he shares.

Radio being reported on with any accuracy in Boston! Never going to happen, never did happen in the past.

You missed the Clea Simon years of the Boston Globe... that woman couldn't get the first letter of a call sign in this town right, forget anything else.

If you want information on just Howie Carr, it seems the Herald has a full time writer just to carry his water in the battle against The Empress and her henchman Coffee Boy.

I never read the Phoenix, but I understand they had a pretty good radio guy over there once upon a time.

Nobody cares about radio anymore.
