I wish.....

One Sunday, (like today), 94.5 would play their gospel music as they usually do, but continue to do it the next day and the next day and so on.....

What do you wish?.....

That's a good wish - I wish that we had a good AAA, dance and smooth jazz station on FM/HD1. Unfortunately, we don't but I am still stoked about my HD radio purchase yesterday as mentioned previously. 102.9 The Summit is very much like 93.3 The Zone (back in the day) and the Oasis reminds me of the Oasis when it was at 106.1 owned by Gannett. It rawks!

Personally, I don't see why someone doesn't put full time gospel on FM. Maybe in time. Doesn't ATL have one?

That's one of my gripes with gospel, locally. OK, it's my ONLY gripe with gospel, locally.

The new 990--I listened to for about 45 minutes. It's just too easy for me to listen to gospel on digital cable, iTunes, or CD where the sound is really good.

I'm not saying they're doing a bad job, but I want to really hear the voices, and music. Hard to do it justice with that AM signal.

I wish it was 1960 again. When radio still had a soul. :'(

I hear ya. I don't know why, but the oldies and the music I grew up with on AM? Doesn't bother me a bit when I hear them that way.

But I'm used to LIVE gospel music. So, the AM doesn't work for me. Hypocrite? Yeah, I guess I am.

I actually prefer AM for talk, oldies, and sports. Sounds weird on FM. I love the Cowboys broadcasts, but that FM thing just doesn't do it for me.

It was on the air for a couple of years in this market...the old KTCY 104.9 "Joy 104.9" after its move-in "Fab 105" format.

I have plenty airchecks of Joy 104.9. I am so glad that I recorded that station.

I wish I was still sneaking out the back door To hang out with those hoodlum friends of mine. Of course I always hated it when I got caught by mama, at the back door, telling me "boy thought I told you not to go outside". Yes, I always tried my best to bring tears to my eyes, hoping it might stop her from whipping my butt

I wish those days could come back once more
Why did those days ev-er have to go?
Cause I love them so

Oooops, errrr uhhh... ha ha... Stevie Wonder moment there.

I wish we had an 80's music station in this market.

...that a format like KZEW was on the air again, and also that commercial F-M would go back to its roots and do free-form, free-from-format, rock and roll.

... Dallas market radio had a "wayback machine". I would stick it on 1980s and pull the plug. Jocks were greatness, playlists were solid and listeners were cherished. Oh yeah, and I could fit in my Z-Cavaricchis while DJ'ing at the Lizard Lounge and other various and sundry places in Deep Ellum.

Good times, indeed.

Doc's trying to build a new flux capacitor for the Delorean. As soon as he gets it finished, we'll be going back in time. ;)

(I hope you weren't drinking anything, when you read this post, VDV) ;D

Nice. No, I remember my doctor giving me that brochure about "Don't Drink (or eat) and Snore." ;)

It sounds good on my car radio...
