I wonder how often this happens. A station has a particular song in their playlist and then they flip formats and a different version of the same song is part of the new format's playlist.
Here's an example.
WXCT in Southington, Connecticut was a Spanish Tropical station (via a simulcast of WSPR/Springfield). The playlist included Spanglish versions of "Will you still love me tomorrow" and "Be my Baby" by Leslie Grace. Spanglish means the song is partially in Spanish and partially in English. The songs sound pretty much the same as the originals from the 60s except with some lyrics in Spanish thrown in. Their sister station the smaller WACM/West Springfield was what I guess could be called Spanish Variety also played these songs.
Now WXCT/WACM are simulcasting with an English language Oldies format and they play the original 1960s version of "Will you still love me tomorrow?" and "Be my Baby."
