Gary Craig was always cool to me-The biggest ******bag was John Elliott-he is a pompous piece of crap. And he is a BIG no talent. Gary earns about 200 a year and there is nooo way anyone in CT will even come close to making him an offer like that. At the most Craig can do after his contract up is probably about 80gs. Hence-with Gary's ego--Career Over!

You are right about John....WHAT A TOOL!
Gary and I got along just fine however he did have a problem with MOST people he worked with.
I also have friends who worked with him (only a few months) in Boston and his ego was completely out of control.
My favorite story about his short time in Boston was when he called an exclusive restaurant and demanded a table....Don't you know who I am....They hung up on him...LOL

I agree, John is a tool. He is actually worse than Gary, and Gary is the biggest a-hole i have ever met.

When I was at CBS then Infinity in 2004 on RCH side a reliable AE on TIC-FM said Gary C was pulling down $350k a year. Remote appearance fee was 1k for 3 hrs. That's steep for Hartford CT.jackhammer said:

The GM of CBS Hartford Suzanne McDonald always liked Gary C. The other thing is he has been a recognized name in CT media for man years. Great voice and lousy content.caliv said:

1. let's say, and i'm being VERY conservative here, that TIC brings in $6MIL a year, you honestly think he doesn't bring in a bulk of that?
2. He's been in the market for a long time, a period of which he was very successful and at a time you could bank serious cash. Today, he'll never get that contract, but he is a dinosaur with big numbers and big contracts in his past. $450K is totally within reach.
3. unfortunately, Gary is a guy fond of leaving his tax forms laying around the station. if you count the same docs he files with the government as a good source, then there is no doubt he is making that kind of cash.

Then after Dave left and Tom Mitchell started, Dave Shakes was a great PD and Tom Mitchell was the a-hole. He did the same thing with Perry Ury when he was GM. I got along with Gary but never trusted him.
I got a call from him about 10 years ago to be his producer and I turned him down. I had no desire to move back east and no desire to work with him again.
John comes off as the anti-Gary sometimes to make himself look better but what a friggin' DIVA!

Gary Craig is the kind of guy who tells his female co-hosts they need to lose weight because the show has an image to maintain. meanwhile, the guy is short, fat and bald, and usually wearing a Hawaiian shirt or something comparable.
