I Would like your opinion on this show.

I would like your opinion on this talk show. The show is "The Paula Gordon Show," and is heard at 5PM on Sundays on WGUN 1010, the time brokered AM in Atlanta.
I am the contract engineer for the station and I accidently ran across the program a year or so back. I was very impressed with the show.....I thought it was a syndicated program from somewhere out of town and they just bought time on WGUN.
Today I find out that it is a locally produced program and has been on the air at WGUN for TEN years!!
I think this program is national quality! So I am interested in your opinion....if you guys think it's a good show then I'm gonna' start bugging some people to listen. I am, in no way, in a position to profit in any way from this.....I just think these guys are good and should be doing more.
Listen to archived shows at paulagordon.com
Thanks,

Tom

Tom, I haven't had a chance to listen to the show yet and actually have never even listened to WGUN but will TRY to remember to catch it. But as a radio guy/webmaster, I will say they desperately need help with their website! It's definitely NOT national quality!

Are you talking about the station's site or Paula Gordon's?
I'm actually interested in this one, particular show. You can listen to archived past shows from links on her website.
Again....I have nothing to gain here. But this is the type of programming I think we(radio) need MORE of. I wonder if I am alone or if others share my interest.

I listen to WGUN quite a bit, and have heard portions of this show. I will admit I didn't care for what I heard only because that day in particular they were doing the
left wing shuffle(picking on republicans) but I wasn't all that impressed. Taylor that
rocks about you being thier contract engineer. I remember following you on the air
out at WACX Austell all those years ago. I like Paula's approach though, she sounds
at least like she has a clue about some things. Do you think that Atlanta needs a more locally based radio station like I do? ???

Tom, I went to the link you posted, Paula Gordon's site, and it's pretty weak. But again, being a web-designer AND radio geek, I'm a bit biased. You may not realize this, but you and I have worked together in the past and I always enjoyed and appreciated your enthusiasm, talent and personal warmth. But let's not get into anything smarmy here or else everyone will start blasting this thread.

Thanks for the kind words you guys!
X-14....did you like the show itself? Do you think it has any potential as a talk show? Anyone else care to opine?
Off topic: Hey Rex....we should get the old WACX gang together sometime! Isn't Eugene selling real estate now? We all know where ol' Captn Herb is....I think Crazy Earl is still lurking. Most everyone else is dead or in hiding.
I, too, had a great time playin' radio at WACX.

There's not much on the site at all, WGUN's that is.. I don't see anything wrong with it

I haven't as of yet had the chance to catch the show or listen to any archives; will try to do so this week. And I haven't visited WGUN's site. The comments about the website were directed ONLY at Paula Gordon's site. If you're going to do something professionally, be it a radio show, a retail business, whatever... your website should reflect your professionalism, just as your business cards, letterhead, etc. should.

taylor, maybe you should have called this thread "i would like your opinion on this website..." :)

And Cleavo, congrats on being back at both COH and 98.1. Great to hear you back on the air there again. You're a friendly voice in the desert.

Thanks! :D
