While the official and final word would have to come from Lance, my take on this rule is that it is to prevent the posting of spam, as well as multiple postings that are really not relevant to that particular board's intent, content or georgraphical area of service.
To my thinking, any information...classic, historical, nostalgic or otherwise, about Georgia radio, would be absolutely welcome and proper on the Georgia board, and, if it's about Atlanta area radio, on the Atlanta board, as well.
I see it the same as engineering or the format boards. If it has to do with a station serving a particular state or area covered by another board, a duplicate posting should be okay.
Admittedly, my thinking is self-serving. I'd like to see the boards I moderate contain postings that cover a broad range of subjects, with history, formatics and technical included.
As a moderator, I will certainly take responsibilty for any "hand-slapping" that may occur, which I highly doubt.
