i94 in INDY is reportedly HOT-AC, is i100 NEXT?

Hmm, it seems like the "i" is dropping more of the TOP-40 to the Adult AC/ Hot AC music format especially on i94 in Indianapolis.

Cumulus seems like they are not making their minds up on a solid format. Hot-AC or CHR? I prefer HOT-AC in the Mobile-Pensacola market....on the 100.7FM dial.

It only begs the question, is 100.7 or "i100" next??
Doubtful, but it's always good to be optimistic.

IF it COULD happen., Maybe that will lead more room for competition on the 107.3 dial against 97.5. Meaning that, we can hear more CHR currents and not so much rhythmatic on 107.3....Can we say Radio Now anytime soon? Speaking of Radio Now, I am just amazed how good the new sound on 97.9 in Jacksonville is...WOW, we need a station like that in the area.. Again, i highly think the name the "Groove" on 107.3 is not appealing to the music tastes that they play.

But we do have 97.5..but hearing Coldplay's Viva la Vida on the new Radio Now in Jacksonville (see thread) ---> WOW, I just wanted to listen to the station more and more.. Clear Channel, Nice work!

Since you like repeating yourself every couple weeks, let me do the same. Just because a station a 1000 miles away did something doesn't mean it will happen here. 100.7 was every possible form of ac/hot ac, sometimes twice, for years before going CHR. The LAST thing cumulus would want to do is go back to that. Besides, why? Lite Mix over here, Soft Rock 94.1 over there. To a point, Jack-FM also in the mix. That segment is more than covered.

How can you say you want more currents and in the same breath mention Radio Now in Jacksonville? Better pay closer attention, because that's not what Radio Now is doing. Speaking of currents. Going by your post, rhythmic or rhythmatic music doesn't qualify as current?

You are right about one thing. The Groove moniker doesn't work. Problem is, like I've said 15 times before, is CC has to stick with it because that station has been confusing the hell out of people for a couple years now. They need to stick with at least one thing if they hope to gain traction.

I've said it before. All 3 CHRs have issues. Mostly because of lack of focus and really not having a handle on the market. WABB has a slight advantage because they have the most local control.

But don't look for anything to change in the near future. At least, not yet.
