i94 - The end is near

The PD position was eliminated as PD/afternooner Joe Kelly exited yesterday.
The Marco Show is done in morning drive. Marco takes afternoons, mornings will be "music-intensive"
Co-host Monica comes off the air but remains with the station.

WNOU killing them in diary and now PPM too?

lets see I94 debuted in July of 09 if memory serves me right. were now nearing October of 2010. lets see thats nearing the 93.9 18 month time frame on formats these days LOL. whats next on the wheel of formats for 93.9.

That's not it, I put a curse on 93.9 in Indy and Louisville for killing 93.7. This frequency will NEVER amount to anything...mwahahahahahahahahaha

LOL 93.9 Louisville was originally 93.7 Seymour. So how could Louisville kill it's former self. More Like Indy 93.9 killed of Seymour 93.7. By moving it to be a jabronie 93.9 in Louisville. Just to force 93.9 Terre Haute over to 93.7. So Indy 93.9 could upgrade. So I would say Louisville has nothing to do with 93.7 being dead since Louisville 93.9 was the original 93.7 in Seymour thats getting moved over to Terre Haute.

I'm talking about the whole fiasco...its all interrelated.

The really good ones (and I mean this subjectively) came near the end of his life. When his daughter couldn't play he would use a record. Have you ever heard a church choir on 78 at 33? He was so deaf he really couldn't hear and used the needles indication to see that it was over.

His wife and lovely (subjective) daughter ran these sermons at least a decade afte he died.

When Bruce Grammel edited The Knack's "My Sharona" in the middle of one it was hilarious.

It could just be a cost-cutting measure. They have a gifted programmer at 'JJK and 'FMS who could oversee i94. I wouldn't be shocked if they imported The Bert Show from Atlanta. Still, this format won't match the success of The Song.

Lets see. Its Cumulus. Its basically programmed by Jan Jeffries. C'mon. Did you ever think this station would do any damage in the market? Its named after a highway that doesn't even run through Indy:) Hey lets name it I-94. That'll get people talking:)

Even with Top40 music being on fire right now and many mainstream stations enjoying the biggest PPM numbers in recent memory, Cumulus continues to tank in the format. Why? Because they continue to believe that Jan Jeffries has a clue. Boring dude=boring radio.

Do yourself a favor Dickeys. Let Jan go. Put someone in place that has passion and doesn't run his stations like a dictator. Maybe then you'll actually have people that want to work for you.

The station is not named after a highway, it's named after the ipod, ipad, itouch, iphone, internet, and interactive.

What is your favorite station? I love I 94.

makes sense.

This just posted on Indiana Airwaves:

PD Steve Cannon from WJJK will need new business cards. He adds PD duties for WFMS replacing Vicki Murphy who left in June

The same format called "I 93" in Dallas is not doing well at at either. They are at 93.3 and they too have sigmal issues. "Kiss FM" is killing them.

It's mostly because the format sucks, less because of the signal. It's 50KW at 394 feet. It covers 95% of the city adequately.
