iAmTired of the iheartradio music festival

The incessant promos for the iHeartRadio Music Festival are getting on my nerves!!! It sold out on the first day, so there obviously is a huge demand for it. So why over promote something that the majority of listeners cannot attend? Not to mention its in Vegas, yet it's promoted around the country. They promote it every stopset, plus the DJs always mention it.

I don't get how it sold out in a matter of seconds. Were there REALLY millions of people buying tickets in those same seconds when the tickets were released? Or is Cheap Cha--I meant Clear Channel doing something fishy here? And you have to "text to win" - for people without text messaging on their phone to call in to win, you are S.O.L.
Yes, there are some good artists coming to the festival, but it's just a two-day long "ADVERTISEMENT" for songs you'd hear on the radio. One group will come on and sing one song, and then leave. Then the next, and the next....

I am also sick and tired of listening to some of the Clear Channel stations and hearing stupid "Taylor Swift Top 10 Songs" and "Adele Biographies" during the commercials. That doesn't fit on the commercials, imo.

Nick you miss the point. It almost has nothing to do the festival and everything to do with iheartradio branding and awareness. I am by no means a CC fan, but they have to be doing something right as iheartradio is really the only initiative this side of the century mark to give terrestrial radio some kind of traction in the digital age.

Stand by the new Lady Gaga coming up again on the half hour
