IBA and grants for new EAS

Many states are working to get grant funds for EAS equipment. Why not Indiana? Just wondering.

Second Deadline Offered for Nebraska EAS Equipment Grant
6-16-2011

Complete Applications submitted to the Nebraska Broadcasters Association (NBA) by July 1, 2011 will be processed as planned. 50% Rebate checks should arrive in August.

Due to equipment delays a second deadline for the grant is being offered of August 26, 2011. That will be the final date applications will be accepted. Applicants applying after July 1 and by August 26, should expect a 50% rebate check in October 2011.

Cable company applications are being accepted by Alan [email protected] at NCTConline.org .
Equipment for both broadcast and cable need to be ordered immediately to receive shipment and make payment in time for the grant to apply.

Applications must include Paid Invoices, serial numbers, location equipment is installed and contact information. A state auditor will want to inspect installation and serial numbers of EAS equipment purchased under this grant.
