iBiquity Relaunches HDRadio.com Site

On the only website, I could get a complete list of the HD stations available in my area (or any area).

Now, it only shows two of them (plus a few out of area "national stations").

Not an improvement.

Outdated for Houston.
88.7 HD-3 is now exponential radio
103.7 is not in HD
790, 950, and 1590 have all dropped HD
I can't speak to the stations I don't listen to, but I am sure there are probably more mistakes.

They ought to directly link to the streams. Then the web site and apps would actually be useful for something.

This site gives you the stations for where it thinks your computer is located. For some reason my ISP tells my computer it's in Springfield, MA and thus the HD Radio site gives me a listing of stations for that area. Thing is, I'm actually in Salem, NH and can't get any of the listed stations.

It thinks I'm in New Haven, CT. I'm actually in Meriden, which is a few miles closer to Hartford than it is to New Haven, and is the home of a half dozen Hartford-market FM towers. There are Hartford HD2 (and a few HD3 and HD4) streams on 92.5, 93.7, 96.5, 100.5 and 102.9 perfectly audible here, along with the four stations (only one with an HD2) in the New Haven market. But HD Radio's own website would lead a curious potential listener to believe there's barely an HD signal to be heard.

Oh, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the station search parameters. The search box on the page is inoperable. Good work, iBiquity.

As always probably only half the stations on that website broadcasting IBOC. There's probably no real way to check, can you imagine calling a station and asking if they are broadcasting in HD? Huh HD? What's that?

They list all the stations that are licensed to broadcast in HD. Whether they are actually in HD, who knows? Ibiquity won't force a station to broadcast in HD, they're just happy to have the money.

Will anyone besides radio geeks actually look to see which stations broadcast in HD?

My guess is no Nick. And, for the record, our stations aren't even listed. We are newer to the HD game, but they are indeed not listed.
