IBOC-FM & Alternate Frequency

Analog RDS has a provision for transmitting a list of alternate frequencies. Ostensibly a receiver could automatically tune to a different transmitter/translator when the frequency to which you're tuned fades.

I don't recall seeing anything about this in the IBOC standard -- does it have a provision like this?

AFAIK, IBOC doesn't have an AF function.

The RDS AF feature works very well if the encoders are set up properly -- but the receivers need to acquire the PI code very quickly, which rules out the use of IBOC to send the code, due to interleaving and buffering delays.

This function is used widely in British Empire countries. It would be great for Minnesota Public Radio, Christian translater nets, and any of Clear Channel's major formats. I do not believe it is available in radios sold in North America, maybe I am wrong. DAB also has this function, but as an American product designed for independant stations, I doubt iBoc would have it.
