IBOC on 610

Do they switch it on when they change antenna patterns for daytime? I noticed a small hiccup in audio and a noticable drop in sound quality around 7:45am today.
______________

AM IBOC is only authorized for daytime hours so yes what you heard was not only the change in pattern from nighttime to daytime mode, the IBOC also came on. It's better than it was with the "hiccup" because when it used to change it was off-air for that second or two, but now it's fairly unnoticeable except where you can barely get the signal in night mode, and can in day mode (like south of here).

I guess I was surprised at the difference in audio quality. Even for AM, it was not as clear once it switched.
______________

On AM, when you run IB(A)C, you have to lower audio bandwidth. On the other hand, I thought CC had already had an engineering edict to lower the audio bandwidth on their AM's. Maybe TVN is still running full bandwidth.
