IC Predictions

It will almost have to be split - no?
The big companies already in Columbia (CC, Cumulus) cant expand any more
Double O doesn't have the money
Is Columbia radio generating enough money to make it worthwhile for a company not already there to 'move in' to Columbia?

They will have to spin off one station to comply with FCC regs. More than likely it will be 93.1. Worst stick in the cluster outside of 1230, but they have to comply with FM signal restrictions, not AM.

Who would be out there that might want to get into Columbia that isn't already in town? Entercom? Cox? If not one of those companies then they would definitely have to split it up.

It will have to be a player that works in the 50-100 markets and isn't already here. That does not leave many candidates.

Word has been getting around that Double O has had folks kick the tires, but has only had interest in 92.1 for stick value.

If you are an outside player, you'd want a cluster that is generating significant cashflow, which would leave the Inner City stations as your first choice.

At auction, I believe you will see the Inner City markets go to different parties, with SF and NYC going to operators looking to add an FM signal.
