ICBC stations in Mississippi

I saw where the auction of ICBC stations was held up due to concerns that auction was a way to avoid taxes.

What will ultimately happen to the ICBC stations here in Mississippi? Will they be broken up or go to someone as a package? The am stations are really not that desirable and will probably be thrown in as part of a package. Even 1180 now that they lost Rush and Hannity is not that desirable as it once might of been.

Does anyone know how the ICBC bankruptcy is going and where I might find some more info?

Check the FCC website - change of ownership from ICBC to YMF Media was filed earlier this month.

FCC Approves Transfers to YMF Media including WBLS and WLIB, NY. WLIB-AM and WBLS-FM in New York are granted assignment to YMF Media New York Licensee LLC from Urban Radio I, LLC, Debtor-in-Possession, overcoming several petitions to deny earlier this year objecting to the transfer of the Inner City Media stations. YMF Media is owned by Ron Burkle’s Yucalpa Companies and Earvin “Magic” Johnson’s Magic Johnson Enterprises. YMF has been operating the stations under a LMA since May. This follows Emmis Communications selling the market rights of “Kiss-FM” (WRKS – now WEPN-FM, ESPN New York) to YMF and then leasing the WRKS frequency for 12 years to Disney. In addition to the New York City transfers, the FCC also approves transfer from Urban Radio to YMF Media these former Inner City Media stations: WOIC-AM and WARQ-FM, Columbia, South Carolina; WJNT-AM, Pearl, Mississippi; WOAD-AM and WJMI-FM, Jackson, Mississippi; WJQS-AM, also Jackson; WHXT-FM, Orangeburg, South Carolina; WWDM-FM, Sumter, South Carolina; WMF-FM, St. Andrews, South Carolina; WRKS-FM, Pickens, Mississippi; and WKXI-FM, Magee, Mississippi. This completes the bankruptcy sale approved in February of the Inner City Media stations.

The transfer from ICBC to YBF has been completed.
