ICOM IC-R8600 Discussion

This thread from a few years ago about the ideal radio receiver talked about all my requirements. This ICOM IC-R8600 looks like it comes close, but is priced far in excess of my humorously offered price point. No Magic Eye Tuning Signal Indicator though. Oh, well.
