I'd like to have XM's Channel 6 (Sixties) made available on Sirius. It sounds just like the real MusicRadio of its time period... pretty authentic sounding. Come to think about it give me 5 & 7 too !

On another site it was found that Sirius played dozens of 70s hit that XM canned from their playlists. At one time 70s on 7 really was great, but Sirius passed them by the last year or so. No loss there for, I also prefer the 80s on Sirius. With the cutback in playlists on 60s on 6 also on XM, it was barely ahead of Sirius 60s Vibrations.

Zach said:My understanding was the 60's on 6 channel on XM reduced the playlist to just hits to help transition over to the Sirius equivalent. All the jocks but one were let go a week or so ago, so don't look for Motormouth or Phlash to make the cut. I *think* only Pat Clarke is still around; at least that's the only voice I've heard lately.

Just the opposite actually, Pat Clarke was let go for the mid Nov merge of channels, and Phlash & Motormouth have been kept on & will be a part of the combined Sirius/XM 60s channel.

Maybe some posters here could list their city's best known, best loved Top 40 Guy who owned the airwaves at the time.
Andrea, did you know that in LA, The Beatles were introduced to the listening public by a Radio DJ, named Bob Eubanks. Someone we in NY only knew as the host of "The Newlywed Game".
New York's a big town, but its not the whole USA.
