Not only for their interest in our antenna, (and all our customers 99% of whom was very happy with our product and the sstran tx), and all the great conversations we have had and information traded.....It's been a fantastic year overall for part 15 radio broadcasting; I'm hoping that 2006 will be even better as our medium grows.................................I've concluded my work with part 15am as we are doing it now, for the moment due to other business concerns......I'm looking forward to developing a new antenna for part 15 FM broadcasting, and working on a new part 15 AM antenna coil as well..................................In the future I'll be concentrating on coils only, and not so much the antenna for am broadcasting. As such, I have several coils built and ready for anyone interested, and I'll offer them to members of this board (provided you have a transmitter that can use one!) in order to clear them out this year. The antenna itself is pretty easy to build.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I have 6 or 7 ready to go now so if you would like one, I'll sell them off for $80.00 each, shipping included, which is about $20.00 off what I normally ask.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Next year I expect to have a much larger (and more expensive) coil to offer for AM broadcasting, and a couple of FM's to go along with it....I'll be streamlining the website to make it easier to read, and there will be no close-outs either...I'll discontinue the less popular choices and put on special the more popular choices.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>If you are interested in a coil at this price please write me at [email protected], but next year all that is not sold will be going to Steve who will certainly ask for more money since it is charitable...(yes I will build him whatever he requires).>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I really did appreciate all the give and take this year; so much of it was informative, and hope that all of you have a Happy Holiday Season and that if you didn't get on the air this year, that you do in 2006.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Power to the People..Rock On..Carl
______________

I gotta say, this FM antenna is really interesting me.

Even though my AM SSTRAN setup wasn't a success YET, I think it will be once it gets warmer and I can get at it, without snow! Carl has been a tremendous help so far with my antenna setup, and with all my issues I have been having. The service is for sure worth the extra money getting the antenna built for you!

Here's to the new year 2006, which I think will be better for PT 15 in general!
______________

Dont thank me...

Well I dont know about the 99 percent part. I seem to think that is a bit off. Considering the post following also didnt get theirs working and I think I saw another on this site. Similar to the antenna that never worked for me. I hope still to get my money back via paypal insurance. I believe your intentions are good, however I seen alot of people burnt by those with good intentions.

What I see is a lack of understanding on the grounding issue. I don't see anywhere the information for the basic "Needs" for the antenna to work properly, or anywhere close..

All I see is.. "Ah, Heck.. Just put a couple ground rods in and maybe a couple pieces of copper wire around the base of the antenna and it will work". Not the case at all. I believe that if the truth be known, many wouldn't even attempt to mess with it. If one is blessed with low resistance in their soil, things would be better but those areas are far and few..

Midnight Baseball is what I call it. There are few solid "Specifications" out here to give the experimenter any start up facts to work from. I'm not implying that folks are not knowledgable of theroy but this antenna is just one of many types and this type has certain needs, by design, to work. The resonance factor in the antenna has been established but what, or how much "grounding" is needed to make the antenna resonate at or near it's best? This is the unknown..
______________
