I'd say some decent stuff...

Great day on the FM side. New logs = Good day.
From my home in Parsons, KS.

Around 6:30 CST:
100.5 Mostly static, with some mention of Virginia Beach.
94.5 WRVQ - Richmond, VA
92.1 WKSA - Norfolk/Virginia Beach

And later on in the day... Around 9:30:
92.1 KXBN - Cedar City, UT (St. George)
92.3 KTAR - Glendale, AZ (Phoenix)
96.3 KKLZ - Las Vegas, NV
97.5 KVEG - Mesquite, NV (Las Vegas)

Sure I would've logged in more if I didn't have other matters to take care of. Regardless, always exciting seeing newcomers!

While you had the western stuff, I had Phoenix stuff as well. Not KTAR, but heard a few others. See main thread for details.

Wow. I have actually driven to a setup or service job at a printing company in Parsons, maybe 5-6 years ago.

Can't remember the name but they were very nice people to work with and for.
They had about 4 Komori printing presses.
Are there still some scars left over on the downtown buildings from the tornado?

I remember the area being a fun place to dx AM and it was easy to pull a longwire out the hotel window into the adjacent
field, and very little around to throw noise.

That 100.5 could also have been WZEZ from Richmond. Its an easy listening/light rock station that does mention VA Beach on occasion in their ads. In fact they are running a current giveaway for a weekend at VA Beach.

I forgot about WZEZ. I heard it once in Fauquier Co., several years ago, and little up closer to DC where I am right now, never heard it since.

Parsons huh Tom? More people know about this place than I thought! Haha. Downtown has rebuilt itself quite nicely since the tornado. On the other note; yes DX on the AM side gets pretty crazy all over the good ole Southeast Kansas.

Caleb, by all means, when you get Vegas on FM, be sure to check your digital TV (non-cable, non-satellite) for KSNV DT ch 2 in Vegas....too far away for me (in Florida).

cd

I should've paid attention to the TV. I was too occupied with FM. As these were my first FM's pulled in from the Vegas area. Next time! Haha.
