Ideally, who/what would you like to hear replacing Steve LeVeille's broadcasts?

Luke spencer

Dean Johnson, Capt. Ken Shelton, Oedipus, Duane Glasscock, Mauzy & Marty Stafford, Tessil J. Collins, Gary LaPierre from home on tape, Bob Lobell & Susan Wornick, Sharon King, Bill Smith, Arnie Woo - also from home, Scott Brown & Gail Huff, Samantha DeSuze (Carl's daughter), George Fennel, Peter Blute, JJ. Wright, Maurice Lewis. Maybe, all at once.

Well,

I've bailed on Jen. After a poster on BZ's program page pointed out that "un-huh" noise that she makes all the time, I have become fixated on that and I can't stand it, LOL.

Noises that hosts make really bother me; several months ago Savage was doing this sinus clearing noise thing & didn't kill the mic - it was horrible ::)

So that leaves me with no one in the line-up...I will listen to Morgan once a week, although it is wearing thin with his favorite callers getting 18 min. worth of airtime & also his talking down to certain callers, esp. during the game.

For light talk overnights, she's got the best game in town (or maybe that should read the ONLY game in town). But when she tries to tackle serious current-events topics (North Korea for example), she demonstrates that she is W-A-A-A-Y beyond her depth and should steer clear. I've even heard her repeat rumors that any reasonably informed listener should know are false. Of course, when the subject is at the top of all of the headlines, steering clear is not a viable alternative. The only suggestion I can offer to her or WBZ is, I believe, an impossibility: Have a cadre of current-events-savvy expert guests lined up and ready to pontificate on a moment's notice from the producer. Maybe she should just hide behind those 50+-year-old reruns of the CBS Radio Theater.

I'm not from the Boston area, so I didn't know about her (Jen) until she appeared on 'BZ - but didn't she have a prior political talk show for something like 10 years? Seems she should be more informed than what she is... ::)

He's a bit on the older side, but......

I can't think of anyone better for the gig than former WOR-710 New York overnight host Joey Reynolds.

Having hosted this type of show before, he would be perfect.

Even if he wanted to stay home in NYC....you could use ISDN or some other tech to pipe him onto WBZ.

Problem solved.

anyone but Jen Brien....her voice makes me crazy and her lack of knowledge about anything is aggravating....has she ever heard of Boston, MA before doing this show...there is something sceevie about her and it comes over the air.....I like Mel Simons, imagine the man who has been on WBZ longer than anyone else finally taking over the show....he could really do something great, maybe Mel and Morgan together?

Disco Vinnie is currentlyriding the big roller coaster in the sky.

A few yeas ago I was involved in a limited way with an overnight TV Show Joey Reynolds was doing on the WNBC Digital Ch in NYC. Joey is a perfect overnight host but I believe if BZ ever selects a single host they would want someone local and broadcasting from 1170 SFR.

I would be happy with John Grayson as I would prefer to wake up to local news and weather rather the forecast for Western PA that currently starts my day via AM 1020.

Why was BJ on all this week? I didn't listen often enough to hear if he mentioned why he did four days worth of radio. Surely they're not making him the captain of the ship... ::)

I think the ship is pretty much rudderless right now.

They picked Bradley to handle the tragedy. I really missed Steve this week. He handled this stuff the best. His 9/11 shows were outstanding.
