How about classic TV channels divided by decade? You know, like the decades channels on SiriusXM satellite radio?
A 50s channel could have shows like
I Love Lucy,
The Honeymooners, and whatever else from the 50s hasn't been destroyed.
A 60s channel could have shows like
Gilligan's Island,
The Andy Griffith Show,
Bewitched,
I Dream of Jeannie, etc.
A 70s channel could have shows like
All in the Family,
The Odd Couple,
The Bob Newhart Show,
Maude, etc.
An 80s channel could have shows like
Small Wonder,
ALF,
Out of this World,
Saved by the Bell,
St. Elsewhere, etc.
A 90s channel could have shows like
Party of Five,
Mad About You,
Home Improvement, etc.
I'd list shows for a 2000s channel, but those shows are still too new to be considered "classic" TV IMHO.
As for shows that started in one decade and ended in the next, the episodes from such a show would run on the channels corresponding to their respective decades. For example,
Full House started in 1987 and ended in 1995, so the episodes from 1987 through 1989 would be shown on the 80s channel; while the remaining shows would air on the 90s channel.
Now if cable/satellite/telco providers had the bandwidth, and these channels were to actually come into being, would any of them add the channels to their lineups? Since this thread is mostly, if not completely, comprised of wishful thinking about hypothetical launches of new channels, rebrandings of existing channels, and resurrections of defunct channels, we can only imagine.
