If 92.5 flips Monday...

The last 5 "bands" should include: ;)Point Blank
Aw, c'mon...when's the last time "Nicole" was played in DFW...1981?

Point Blank is still alive and kicking somewhat, based out of Irving these days. Bet they'd be shocked to receive an 8-cent check from ASCAP "if" someone decided to ever play their music again.

Bacl in 1990, whilst at a Pay-N-Save drug store in Lynnwood, WA, I found a cut-out cassette of Point Blank for 99 cents.

NEVER heard of these guys before. The title of the cassette was even more intriguing: Mean To Your Queenie

It was some hash compilation of sorts by MCA Special Products, and I was always interested in hearing different stuff. So I bought it and gave it a listen (The cassette also had "Nicole" on it, as well at the title track)....

I wasn't impressed. They seemed like lame Skynyrd wanna-bes.

I know them's feudin' words down in DFW, but I had bigger hopes...... :'(

No Biggie Bongwater [That's a Very Unique UserName, bty !] :)

I'm from Irving, went to Irving High School in the 70's, and so, I just have to put a plug in for the "Hometown" Band.... :D

The only other famous "Irving" musician, (and Irving High School alum), that I know of....
Is Frankie Beard.... From that Lil' Ol' Band from Texas.... ZZ TOP.

I'll Rest with that. ;D

MikeShannon914, you know of any other bands/musicians from Irving ? ?

Maybe I'm a deaf, dumb, and blind kid (and no, I'm no Pinball Wizard) but I don't recall anybody saying, stating, speculating or posting that there was, in fact, going to be a change at 92.5 on Monday...or...at all.

This is how rumors get started.

No... If you read carefully what I wrote it was a completely hypothetical scenario. I clearly said "IF". I never said anyone was flipping.

I think the word "Monday" is what made it seem as if something might happen. If you had of just said "if 92.5 were to flip" it would have been less confusing.
