If CBS had a brain...

After the Christmas music ends on 103.7 they would debut Smooth Jazz 103.7. Looks like Lynn Briggs has gone to the Oasis in Vegas so how about Larry Dixon morning drive (with Gail on traffic of course), Tempie Lindsey afternoon drive, Tim Garrison nights. Bring back Trip A Day and Sunday Brunch! 8)

Setting up a scenario where CBS has a full brain is a little too ambitious, I think. You should start by imagining CBS with a quarter, or maybe just an eighth, of a brain. Let's be fair in our expectations!

CBS is more hindsight than insight. Don't expect a switch to light Jazz. Expect more the run of the mill, channel changing format.

Don't count on format changes at CBS. Notice almost every station CBS has in the market is part of a collective format, like Jack FM, Lite FM, Free FM or Movin. All of those are CBS-branded stations throughout the country. KRLD and KLUV are the only ones that don't have one of those catchy names. KLUV will stay as it is because it's performing and KRLD will always be something close to what it is now, whatever that is.

When did Lynn go to Las Vegas? I just looked on their web site and I don't see her listed. Funny thing, their signal is 105.7. Talk about dyslexia possibilities for her with those numbers.

Sure hated to see her and the entire gang as well as the format leave DFW.
