If CBS moved Sports to FM in Dallas....

would they flip KLOL to all sports? I could even see them calling it "Sportsradio 101 The Fan". If they did this, guarantee Granato will do all possible to go back to CBS. W and J did it with CC, so could Granato. KILT 610 could become a oldies station, which should satisfy the other topic in this thread. I would listen too. This could also create a domino effect to see if either KGOW or KFNC or BOTH fall and become something else.....anything but brokered ethnic.......no more garbage on Houston radio, please.

To complete the sentence: "... then they moved Sports to FM in Dallas."

Let me get this straight: Granato left CBS because he knew the station was augering into the dirt. Now he's going to walk away from 1560 to be on CBS' FM station- is that about right? He's going to go back working for the corporate piles of dung that he's disgusted with in the first place. Listening to his morning show right now (i am, after all, one of their 4 listeners), it doesn't sound like John, Lance, Justice, Nuney, Topper, Chance, or Chank are very unhappy where they are. BUT I guess if you deny the existence of something long enough, reality will some day morph into your distortion. Good luck with that.

Why would CBS flip either station? They both (KLOL & KHMX) have better numbers than anything else CBS owns in Houston.

While that may be your opinion, if you look at the opinion of Arbitron.... they suck less than anything else CBS owns in this market.

I'm one of the biggest sports fans on the face of the earth, but PLLEEEASSEE no more Sports on Houston Radio! Four stations is two too many. We don't need five.

And that makes two FM Sports stations in Dallas. The other is ESPN 103.3. However, their signal is not near as good as KRLD-FM.

Houston is, and always has been a lukewarm sports market. Nobody has ever mistaken us for NYC, Boston, or Chicago. Houston has mediocre teams and comparatively unsophisticated, fair-weather fans. Just speaking the truth. Overall ratings for SportsTalk are much higher in many other markets. There's not the passion here.

CBS will do much better by programming music on FM here, and leaving the sports on 610.

ESPN 103.3 is a northside rimshot, but the signal does fine where the important demos are in the market. The money areas in DFW are growing TOWARDS those rimshots, while in Houston the money is mostly on the far side of the market from the eastern rimshots.

I hope this doesn't happen, but I think CBS, who gave FM talk a chance viturally everywhere, would consider it, and this will effectively kill 97.5 AND 1560....I want 101 K-rock or a classic hits station.

Truer words will never be spoken.

Yet ANOTHER prediction of 1560's impending demise. Man, it continues to astound me how they keep on the air.

Guess me and 5000 other listeners on Christmas Eve will be having a wake.
