IF Dale & Eddie stayed together...

We've watched Dale Arnold's mid-day show morph and mutate - and all three
editions are probably the best thing on WEEI now (perhaps along with
Planet Mikey, which the jury is still out on due to not as many years on
WEEI)

SO, the question - would it still be the Dale & Eddie show if
Andleman didn't move to 1510?

And what kind of paycheck does Dale Arnold get for his loyalty compared
to what Eddie got (or lost) by taking that gamble?

I think the current edition is the best.
Dale & Eddie hated each other at the end from what I have read,combine that with Eddie's hatred of the BigO and I think something had to give.

Andelman is an egomaniac. Therefore any "partner" must be a second banana not an equal. I'm not a Dale fan but I give him great credit for trying to make the best of an ugly situation. It had to be difficult.
* Congrats to Dave Jageler(ex of 1510,and EA) who apparently got a MLB radio job with the Washinginton club, after a year in Pawtucket.

Anyone who has worked with Eddie has _horror stories_ to tell. He's not the cute chinese-food eating nice guy he pretends to be. Arnold and Jagler are going right to heaven when they die. I'm not telling any secrets here. Mark and Jim from the Sports Huddle hate Andelman cause just like anyone else who works with him he screws you over and over. You can't say much in print cause he throws his lawyers around at everyone who looks at him the wrong way.

More like the best thing that happened for the station. I rank Eddie's leaving better than the Sox World Series broadcasting. He was just THAT angry and bitter.

I doubt it. I think the ratings would have slipped to the point something had to be done. Eddie's true bitter, hatred-riddled personality came out especially when Dale was gone. Eddie was a Dr. Jeckyl/Mr. Hyde when he was with Dale. Eddie was ruder to callers than Sarandis. He hung up on them, chastised them when they didn't agree with him, trash them after he hung up so they couldn't defend themselves, and IF they got back on to give them a piece of their mind, he had a very lasse fair "F YOU" attitude to them. He wanted off the S.S. WEEI and he wanted to scuttle the ship on his way off. Not to mention he had very little knowledge of any sport prior to 1990. To trash the Bruins and how they are stinking up the house as he mentions he hadn't watched a single game in 25 years...he just looked a fool. It took the most expensive seats in the house to have him watch a game again.

I applaud Dale for the sinking ship he kept afloat practically all by himself. The day Eddie was gone was the day I started listening 5/6 am - 6 pm again.

Dale gets a better show and a better paycheck. He gets a less stuffy room to talk about so much more and argue so much less. Dale was in a win-win situation. Eddie stays, he moves to another show or other opportunities while Eddie's hate brings the station and Eddie himself down to the dregs. Eddie leaves and Dale's show with Neumy/Holley plain kicks ass.

My opinion on media people is, if you can write, but don't have camera presence, you do not belong on TV, you should be a columnist. If you are not photogenic, but have good ideas and sound good, you shouldn't be on TV, you should be on radio.

Howevah....If are not funny, if you are rude, if you are totally ugly to look at, if you're voice with an extremely exaggereated gross Boston accent makes people sick, you should be found NOWHERE in the media
