Cram two episodes in a half hour?

Here's an idea for Fox 61, and hopefully this can be the norm with Fox affiliates across the country and not just the O&O's: Add a 6 PM newscast!

UPN 38 (now TV 38) in Boston tried this and it didn't set the ratings on fire. WNBC in NYC is trying this right now and it's not setting the ratings world on fire.

I'd give it some time for WNBC to get ratings at 7pm. Wait WNBC's new newscast is at 6:30 or 7:00? As for FOX 61 getting a 7:00pm newscast. It wouldn't be a bad thing but they won't start one anytime soon. If anyone should NBC 30 should they lack big from 5:00-6:30.

Might not be out of the realm of possibilities since both ch. 4 and ch. 30 are NBC o&o's.

If Fox 61 wants an additional newscast, they had better sort out their existing one first.
