If I Had It My Way...

Fly 92-9 would flip back to Z-93.
Frequency 941 flips to something else.
Channel 945 gets sold.
96 Rock flips to a Rhythmic CHR similar to Hot 102 in Lexington, KY
HOT 1029 gets a new PD and focuses their music like Hot 102 in Lexington, KY :)
Mix 1077 just kills off their staff and flips to Premium Choice Hot AC (music is better, imo)

If you had it your way, what would go down?

This is one of the beautiful things about the internet. Even if a radio show goes off the air, chances are someone out there has archives and is willing to stream them over the web. I have several defunct shows I found online streams of, and now I'm adding this one to the list. Good find KyDXIn!

LJO, believe me, Z-93 isn't coming back unless Main Line would sell WGTZ. ML is a cheap company IMO, hence the reason that Z no longer exists.
The chances of ML replacing Scott Sharp as PD at Hot are slim to none, and slim just left town. They just did their best book for 102.9 EVER...102.9 is a success story. Scott must be doing something right...either that or they have a great consultant.
I hate to see anyone lose their jobs...especially good folks like Jeff and Shaun at Mix. I think Mix is getting better...I heard them FINALLY play Nelly's "Just A Dream" the other day, so maybe there is hope that they'll get more current. I do think the morning show could use some adjustments...especially in one certain way. Read between the lines...
Also...Mix needs to dump certain tunes...they've played "All Or Nothing" by Theory of a Deadman and ESPECIALLY "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas into the ground. Every time I hear "I Gotta Feeling", there's one thing I feel...my finger hitting the button to change the station. ;D
Channel 945 needs to be sold immediately and changed to something else. That station is a complete and utter disaster. Looks like it's gotten the "Laptop on someone's desk" treatment(i.e. No one cares about it or pays attention to it). Sad.
Too bad The Sound couldn't have found life on 94.1 instead of the lousy Frequency format. A Gen X format would do well there.

I know Z isn't coming back, but you can wish!
I did see that Hot 1029 got its best book ever. Unfortunately, it just sounds lazy. Listen to 92.1 and how the imaging and music sound together. Amazing.
Yeah, Mix sounded good listening to them this morning, but they still have those lame 80s in there. Will Jeff catch on?
As for 945, yeah, they touch it every few weeks. It sounds horrible. They're making it with Elvis Duran and Seacrest. That's about it.
As far as 94.1 goes, I would love something like The Sound or a Gen X station like the one that launched in Long Island...

1.)Sell off W-ya IZE to the locals in Springfield so thay have something local again....y'all
2.)WDKF at this point of the game ain't going no-wure. Donate it to 'da storefront church of 'da livin snakahandler as a community-orientated station or sumpin' lak 'dat 'dar.
3.)Start up a Z-93 tribute site/online tribute station...part 15 option-uhl.
4.)Mix 107.7 is now worse than 'dat Hits 105.5 up yonder in Shidnee. I hear that a former WMMXer is now workin' 'dar...'an 'dat ain't sayin' much since I unde-stand they now use Scurz Bratwurst dot com or sumpin lak 'dat 'dar for local high skeeull sports coverallz.

5.)WAKE-UP CLEAR "YET THROAT CHUNNEL!

(LLLAAAKKKKKK-HACKK PTTUII!!)

PITTS-OFF!

But, those stations aren't co-owned, remember. WREW-FM (The former Sound 94.9, now Rewind) is owned by Bonneville, while WNNF-FM (Frequency 94.1) is a Cumulus station (formerly Clear Channel, until they sold off WNNF and WOFX in 2009 in a swap with five WI stations).
