I would flip 95.5 to an adult-friendly Modern Rock format, similar Radio 104-5 in Philly, in the not-to-distant future.
Reasons why such a move might make sense:
--Spanish language FMs generally have weaker billing in Chicago than their English language counterparts
--Such a format would appeal to not only many former listeners of Q101, but also many folks who cume WTMX, WXRT, and dare I say even WCFS
--Such a format would weaken WTMX's numbers a bit, thereby helping Lite-FM
--Could be bundled with either WLIT or WKSC for sales purposes; the station would be positioned midway between the demos those two stations deliver
--Low overhead; listeners of such a station by & large do not want morning zoo-style radio
Thoughts?
