If O&A are going to get fired...

Then I demand that Todd Pettengill be given the boot by Citadel. Seriously, somebody put together a comp tape of Todd's stint in the WWF. The skits he did in 1994 as host of "WWF Mania" alone should be enough to get him blackballed for life from the New York market.

Ha, but seriously folks.

Are you kidding me? The stuff that Todd did on Mania is perfect for the morning radio on PLJ. It's not like he's doing hard-hitting journalism or NPR stuff.

Pettengill, now there's a name I have not heard in years. If O&A get fired, they won't be alone and the unemployed radio personality line will grow exponentially. Not to say that a lot of people will lose their jobs if O&A lose their job, more like the domino effects are inevitable.

why don't they just flip 92.3 free fm back to rock?

CBS already owns a rock-leaning station in Market 1 - 101.1 The Point - the best 80's rock and more!

Caught a bit of their show today. WOW!!! Not as in "Whip em out Wednesday" but as in WOW! is that show bad. Heard about ten minutes talking about how funny farts are with a call from an eleven year old boy who told his story of farting. They laughed at it and called him a bastard for cursing. Of course we only heard his story then suddenly them all laughing like a bad laugh track which made me say are you kidding? That is funny? only to realize the dump button cut out whatever I missed but it couldn't have been as funny as they tried to make it coming form an eleven year old. Maybe they need to add pre-teens to the ratings. Radio doesn't get any better I guess. :( We'll I guess the stations new phrase will shortly be "Live FREE and die young". Whomever thought bringing this format with the worst programming in recent history to NY needs to be whipped with razor barb.

yes to say that theya re unfocused would be quite generous.

:(

So even if they get broomed from XM I dont think it effects their cbs status. Cbs will buy them out of their Xm contract for next to nothing as XM will just be glad to be rid of them and life goes on.

Except when FREE FM goes away. Then what? Put them on an AM station like they did in San Fran?

No way, if Free fm were to go away and they flipped it back to say rock they would need a Stern-like anchor, O and A are the closest thing to it.
