If Ryan Seacrest is gone what should kiss 108 replace him with ?

Chubby Chubb?
Chubby Chubb ? I don't think so . How about Ralphie Marino ( Former Jamn 94.5 and Star 93.7 jock ). I think Marino is still looking for work. Billy Costa is a good choice.

CC will hire someone else and nobody will notice the difference.

No way they are going to put local people in that slot, too much money.

On an interesting note, Larry King just announced he'd be giving up his nightly show come fall. Seacrest serves as a primary fill in for King and is among the forerunners to run an interview like program which would succeed Larry King Live.

Maybe CNN would pay enough for his star power to spice up their primetime... maybe enough that he'll decide he doesn't have to get up and do a show @ 530am in LA and then VT spots/one liners for other stations all day.

Bring on the next robotic and non-local show, please!

My thoughts exactly. CC will most likely groom another personality to be the worldwide replacement for Seacrest.

By the way, I wonder if this will up the number of affiliates for Donny Osmond's new radio show? How is his show doing in Boston Keene, NH?

I wish there was some way of measuring how many people actually tune into Kiss 108 to specifically listen to Seacrest and his midday show.

Maybe it's me, but I'd think the number of people who tune in specifically for Seacrest (or most any jock)would be rather low. Most people just want to hear their favorite songs.

I do like Seacrest as a Hollywood insider, for his ability to get good interviews with celebs. It's too bad that a lot of them are phone interviews where the audio sounds crappy, but that's not entirely his fault.

If what the above two posts suggest is true, that people tune in more for the music than the jocks, then wouldn't any jock suffice?

Clear Channel could v/t one of their Prem Choice people for the midday, and that would be good enough. Why pay big bucks for a Seacrest?

yeah, all you last three have good points.
This time I'm for real, I was going to suggest, why not put "Joe Public" on there. He's on, weekend part time and fill ins, he's great. I used to intern for him back in the late 1990s. His attitude both on and off the air are great. Why not put him on?

Too much money, we're talking about Cheap Channel here. ::)

Let's face it, the midday shift is a graveyard shift. Why pay for someone local when you can get syndicated dump off the bird and most people wont even notice it isn't local?

Because if you gt something syndicated, you have to give up local commercial time. That affects the GM's bonus.
