If the GM fights CC for local in order to get his bonus-- that affects the GM's employment status.

Not exactly. His employment status is based on how much money he brings in. If you're exceeding your numbers, you have the power to say no. That's how the system works.

Because if you gt something syndicated, you have to give up local commercial time. That affects the GM's bonus.

There is a difference between in house voice tracking for a group of stations by the parent company, and say a local station taking something like Garabeadian's " Open House Party" on a barter or partial barter basis.

In the case of Clear Channel, they are selling national spots anyway, and they are playing those off the bird feed, but they want the local spots in there too for the income. They are getting the chicken and the egg, where if they were airing something they didn't produce in house, they would either be giving up inventory to get it, or paying for all or some of it in cash.

They were giving up local inventory for Seacrest because it's a Premiere show. Regardless of the fact that Premiere is owned by CC, it also has to make a profit in the overall corporate structure.

If you carry something from Premium Choice, there is money involved. The talent who are part of that campaign get paid for every market that picks them up.

Billy Costa...he is the man. He completely carries the matty Show ( there would be no Matty without Billy)...he's funny, knows his stuff and has the best radio voice

Wouldn't expect a different opinion coming from someone with the username "billycostafan," would we? ;)

2 names to come to mind: Ralphie Marino or Bring back Shelly Wade.. Enough said!!

Shelley Wade? Seriously? I'm sorry, but she sounded like she was talking to a group of 5-year-olds. Heard her when she was still on middays at Z100 and she sounded A LOT better there than on Kiss. Plus if she blew a kiss into the mic one more time I was going to put my foot through my stereo.

It's a flame throwing mid-day music station.
No one cares what you think or if you're local or in a cave.
Just shut up and play the hits and lots of em, at least 12 in a row. ;D

Get rid of Ryan Seacrest and put a local midday chick on the air.

Why a "chick"? Do I hear the mooing of a sacred cow?
