If the "private sector" can do a jazz station so much better, then why aren't they? What's standing in their way? There's MILLIONS more in their coffers than KPLU could ever DREAM of having. So why aren't they doing it? What are they afraid of?
Would Discovery, Nickelodeon and the History Channel put up free over the air DTV transmitters to cover the loss of PBS? What about those who can't afford cable/satellite or the internet?
