If/When WAXZ moves to Salt Lick . . .

What format should it take?

The only other station in Bath County (WKCA) is Country, as are most of the other stations in the area.

Classic Rock might work with the Morehead and Mt. Sterling audiences, with the only direct competition being WCBJ.

CCM would be tough with 90.7 out of Paris setting up a couple of translators in the area, as well as a number of fringe and rimshot signals (WKVO, WVRB, WLRO, WLJC) already doing some variation of the format. Don't know if Southern Gospel would fare much better.

An AC station would seem promising since the only other ACs are WGKS/Paris-Lexington (50 miles away) and WJSN/Jackson (which fights with WRLV/Salyersville).<P ID="signature">______________
