If you could merge all 3 sports stations...

So what would the line-up look like if you could merge 620, 1010, and 1040 into one "mega station" with access to all the nationally syndicated networks as well? I'd do the following:

6AM-9AM: Mike & Mike in the Morning
9AM-12PM: The Dan Patrick Show
12PM-3PM: Bobby Fenton & Ian Beckles
3PM-6PM: The Derek Sharp & Justin Petuck Show
6PM-8PM: Tirico & Van Pelt (tape delay of hours 1 and 2)
8PM-10PM: The Brian Kenny Show
10PM-6AM: dead air

Sports Update guys: Jim Lighthall (6AM-9AM), Dan "The Duke" Davis on ESPN Radio (9AM-3PM), Frank the Tank (3PM-6PM), Sporting News Radio update guys (6PM-6AM)

Live Sports: Rays, Bucs, Lightning, and USF Bulls games will move to 1250 WHNZ so as to ensure that the syndicated programming is never interrupted. There will be no local coverage of the Gators, Hurricanes, and Seminoles. Instead, spots will air in which Jim Leavitt and Stan Heath berate the listener for not following the local college team, ala the DUI Dog berating callers for not embracing the local pro teams instead of the Yankees/Red Sox.

Buccaneers Radio Network:
Play-by-Play: Whit Watson
Color Commentator: "The Coach" Richie Adabado

Lightning Radio Network:
Play-by-Play: Pat Kennedy
Color Commentator: "The Mexican Kojak" Patrick Ines

Tampa Bay was once a great area for local talk radio talent to develop and prosper on a national scope, but the Bobby Fenton is the latest example of the local ownership and corporate radio incompetence. Fenton was let go by Genesis at AM 1470, not given a chance at AM 1010, but has now been hired at Sporting News Radio for a national show, every Saturday and Sunday, 10A-1P. I listened last week and he is outstanding. I've always thought Fenton was national-caliber. I was told that SNR noticed his talent while filling in for Todd Wright's national 10P-2A show. It's too bad our local stations couldn't notice that talent. With three sports stations, totaling 33 hours of prime 6A-7P programming, there were quite a few options to find a place for Fenton locally. Fenton is in his late-20s, a Tampa Jesuit grad, and we could have probably enjoyed his talent locally for a while if our local radio stations would have recognized his talent. Good for Fenton, bad for Tampa Bay sports radio.

Weekends:
Sat.
Capt Mel 6-8 AM
Big & Wild Outdoors 8-10 AM
NASCAR Live 10-11 AM
Fantasy Football Show 11-12 AM
Pre Game/Race 12-Till

Sun.
Fla Sportsman Radio 6-8 AM
Golf Show 8-10 AM
NFL Pre Show 10-11 AM
Pre Game 11-1
Post Game Show
Fifth Quarter Show

6-10A Mike & Mike
10A-noon Colin Cowherd
Noon-3 Todd Wright (I'm not sure what he's doing now, but I can't believe no one ever figured out a way to give him full-time locally)
3-7 Duemig
7-10P Jim Rome on delay (the show sounds like a night show, which it was originally).
10P-1A Dan Patrick on delay (if you're carrying play-by-play, this will run in it's entirety more than the 7-10 slot will).
1-4A Repeat Rome again
4-6A ESPN

I think you mean Justin Pawlowski, the guy that does the Blitz on Saturday.

Jerry Petuck is Duemig's guy behind the glass. He's never been given much of a chance to do anything on air. Would probably do pretty well, if given the opportunity,

So you'd have the SNR sports guys do updates during the "dead air" show? LOL!

How can we fit Randy Harris and Chris "The Superthief of Sports" Jones into the lineup?

I thought it was really great when in the late 90s/2000s when 1250/620 DAE had a lineup like this:

mornings:
Tony Bruno / Sandy Penner
Chris Thomas

Mid-day:
Rome

Afternoon drive:
Duemig

I think they have had a revolving door in evenings for a while, the retards they have on now at 7pm are terrible (Petros and money?, where did they get these clowns?, Andrew Siciliano was MUCH better).

Also Dan Sileo, I still dont know how this guy has a job. He would make a great used car salesman or garbage man. He dont belong on radio.

I like Colin Cowherd, if they could get him on in place or Ron and Ian that would be fine

Glad to see so many national hosts are in your lists. And we wonder what is happening to local radio? As for me I really don't care to hear about the Yankees, Red Sox, Lakers, and Cowboys year round. But if you do that is fine. Glad we have choices, and my choice is to support the local hosts. Not that the national hosts are not good, but they all seem to talk about the same stuff each and every day.

They do be cause the average listeners is with them for 12 minutes a day. No different than "playin' the hits" on a music station.

It's kind of hard to stand out when you're playing second fiddle to Terry Bowden and J.P. Peterson.

I would give Whitney Johnson a show for 2 hours a day. Anyone remember the Whit show before Rays spring games at Al Lang?

You never knew what was coming!

Soo many guys in Sports Talk are boooring.
