An all-80s pop format:
6AM-9AM-Banana Joe Montione and Y-Vonne St John, with an upbeat, 'get yer a$$ outta bed' attitude. Lots of energy and contests. Andy McCollum on news and Laura Houston on traffic.
9AM-12 noon-Steve Eberhart, with a female-friendly, semi-upbeat 80s mix for listening at work.
12 noon-1PM-Christopher Haze (Randy Brown) spins the all-request lunch show, and have a rotation of former, familiar local DJs sit in as a 'jock-of-the-week' on Fridays...Jack Schell, Dave Tucker, Chapman??? etc.
1PM-4PM-Pete Thomson, with the same approach from the 9-noon shift.
4PM-7PM- Jonathan Doll, Peggy Sears and Doc Morgan, with Jonathan Hayes on traffic and Michael T. Parker (Moser) on news. Heavy on interaction between jocks. Contests, energetic music, light and sporadically-placed commercial load.
7PM-midnight-Kidd Kraddick or Michael Blake, with a KISS-FM-type treatment of the 80s, to draw in younger listeners
Overnights-Russ Martin, but as a jock. Ya know, some of his better work was hosting the Eagle's lunch-hour show in the late 90s.
Saturday nights-Jim Thomas
Sunday mornings-Bud Buschardt
Programmer/consultant: George Johns, who came up with the format that made KVIL #1 a LONG time ago.
Or make things very simple...bring back Mike Selden from the dead, have him on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and give him all the drugs, booze and women in the studio that he might want.
