....It won't happen! Fox is already removing the UPN logo and references from its 8 stations and will make them independents, which means that KASW-61 will end up getting CW.

The UPN logo is still on KUTP's website (as of 1 pm that is).

It is not a 100% that WB6 will become CW6...Belo owns a UPN station in Tucson and may play hardball to switch it to CW also.

The Wall Street Journal said that none of the Fox-owned UPNs were going to switch to CW...so if not KASW, then who?

I just read the UPN affiliate in La Crosse, WI is dumping UPN programming at the end of the week. Question...can KUTP do the same or are they obligated to stay onboard until September?

Answering my own question from Wikipedia...

"Upon the creation of the CW in 2006, it was announced that KUTP will become an independent station after UPN ceases operations in September 2006. That move paves the way for local WB affiliate KASW to eventually become the CW affiliate for Phoenix.

Currently, KUTP is still called UPN 45, though many of its sister stations (like WWOR and KCOP) began to drop all refrence to UPN almost immediately."
