iHeart Cost Cutting Rears Its Ugly Head On Mix 93.1

This morning, shortly after 8:30, there seemed to be a raw feed on Mix 93.1 of the new combined morning team (after their partners were let go) cutting voice tracks for WSRS. There were also periods of dead air. This follows at least a couple of overnights when 93.1 was off the air-- not even a carrier. What an operation!

I'm not defending i-Heart Radio here, but that sort of thing happens at all stations regardless of size. Just this morning I was listening to 96.1 Kool Radio out of Connecticut and all the voice-tracks were missing during morning drive. There was dead air at the points where the voice-tracks were supposed to be. Then they starting playing "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson, abruptly cut it off went to a commercial came back and started playing "Lean on Me" by Club Nouveau. I forgot about checking their sister station 100.1 Kool Radio Springfield via 1270-AM. But what I do know when I got into my car at 9:35 or so to go to Stop and Shop and Walmart Kool Radio was playing "Lean on Me" by Club Nouveau again!
