Iheart giving up on HD2,3 and 4

And Memphis at 51 is well within the range of the lower population PPM markets. At 1.45 million, Memphis is quite comparable with the 1.5 million of New Orleans or 1.55 of Oklahoma City, #50 and #49.

And Hartford at 52, which retains PPM because it was in the top 50 when PPM was introduced. Just a thought: If the market's population and Nielsen ranking continue to sink, will the diaries be reintroduced, or could Hartford theoretically be a No. 60 PPM market someday?

I'd imagine that a market that has enough subscribed PPM stations falls out of the Top 50, they will continue to be rated that way.

And if you look, what was market 14 when the PPM came out never subscribed due the the high cost and lower market revenue there.

Plus, a couple of the PPM markets like San José and Long Island are really embedded markets, subsets of a larger market and they are sort of "along for the ride".
