I heard that iHeart is getting ready to launch a R&B in Hartford as soon as this week. Anyone else hear that new?
Country 92.5 isn't going anywhere, obviously, nor is The River. So that leaves WKSS and WUCS, or maybe WPOP if the intent is to use translators to cover the market. I can't see Kiss going full-out urban, even with the creative abyss that pop seems to have fallen into. Would iHeart terminate its contract with ESPN to flip 97.9? And if so, where do the Yankees end up, if there is a 2022 MLB season?I heard that iHeart is getting ready to launch a R&B in Hartford as soon as this week. Anyone else hear that new?

What situation would that be? Governors, mayors, and town and city councils nationwide are declaring the pandemic over, or at least in remission.Idk bc of the current situation with COVID-19
It's WBOM's translator. Their antenna is on Rattlesnake Mountain.I'm hearing hip hop and R&B on the 102.5 signal. Kensington section of Berlin. Mono sound. Is this their translator on West Peak in Meriden?
You guys do know you don't have to guess about these things, right? It's on West Peak.Ok. While outside WestFarms Mall on Thursday, I tuned around and heard nothing on 102.5 at all.
I get a marginal signal of 102.5 in Kensington (Berlin). I'm getting it much stronger outside of Cromwell's Walmart on Route 372. The 103.3 translator of 1360 AM was almost non-existent.
I get 102.5 a bit in Middletown's north end, too. I would think that means West Peak would have to be it's site.
The station is still in "test" mode. Just because it's on the air doesn't mean its the final product. There's no marketing, website, social media. Just because radiogeeks here know it exists, it's still not officially live to the general public.I listened to 102.5 for about 20 minutes today between waiting for my Mom outside of Consignment Originals in Cheshire and partially during the ride back home in Southington. The music mix was okay. I guess. There were only 2 songs I recognized including Summer Time by Will Smith.
They're going to carry Steve Harvey in the Morning soon.
It has had poor audio for a long time, IMO. I found it painful listening in the car. 104.1 wasn't much better. The only Fuller property that seemed to give a crap about the way it sounds was 102.9.I tuned in this morning and found Steve Harvey was airing on what I expected to be the talk of Connecticut (as I haven't read this forum in a few weeks now) Looks like WYBC might have some competition in some of its fringe areas. I've always noticed better signal for 102.5 around the areas in Meriden and not so much in the Hartford area as the station's imaging states. When did they flip the switch? I'm pretty sure a few days ago it was still the WDRC simulcast. I also have noticed the audio problems both currently and in the recent weeks. Then again, 96.1 has pretty poor audio as well these days.
