iHeart Lets Jason Pullman Go

Rodney Ho is reporting that Jason Pullman, morning co-host at 94-9 The Bull, was let go suddenly after yesterday's show with a year remaining on his contract. Kristen Gates, his co-host, will remain.

Jason's replacement, Spencer Graves, who did mornings at Adult Hits station 106.5 The Arch in St. Louis, got caught in a Hubbard cluster-wide layoff after Thanksgiving.

The Bull is somewhat unusual in that it has a local morning show; iHeart runs the syndicated Bobby Bones Show in many of its markets, even at WMZQ in Washington, DC.

If iHeart / CC were going with the Bones show they would not have replaced Pullman. I hope there is not a scandal, but with nobody saying why this happened it makes you wonder. The fact they named a replacement this quick suggests to me; this move was in the works more than a day or two.
