iHeartMedia Appoints Brian Long As Program Director For KFI/KLAC/KEIB

Makes sense. They know him from a long run at KOGO, and though three stations for the salary isn't great, it's probably a nice bump from what he was making at KTAR.

In fairness, KTAR is a pretty tight station. Not your typical "grab political crap off the satellite" news/talker. There is a ton of local shows on their lineup. I think he may be a good pick.

My alma mater (2000-2004).

I suspect, though, that his being known and trusted by Chris Berry and having deep Southern California experience were the keys to the decision more than whatever Brian's been doing the last year and a half at KTAR.
