iHeartMedia Charlotte and Raleigh appoints 20-year veteran programmer Chris Crowley as Program Director for Classic Rock WRFX-FM (99.7 The Fox) and Alternative WEND-FM (106.5 The End) in Charlotte, as well as Classic Rock WRDU and Alternative W237BZ (ALT 95.3) in Raleigh, effective October 1. He most recently served as an Operations Manager for Townsquare Media in Buffalo.

Crowley's previous programming/on-air stops include KGON-FM in Portland OR, WCMF-FM and WROC-AM/FM in Rochester NY, WARO-FM in Fort Myers, KNRQ-FM, KEHK-FM and KUJZ-FM in Eugene OR and a stint at Jacobs Media in Detroit. He began his career at KGOT-FM in Anchorage AK and is a graduate of The University of Alaska Anchorage.

Good to know there's a live body now at 99.7 the Fox ... isn't EVERYTHING either syndicated or voice tracked from somewhere else? I like the music, but assumed it's just an IHEART driven playlist. Not unlike most other IH Classic Rock stations.
